Granola Bar Recipe

Granola bars

A quick, super easy and simple granola bar recipe that's healthy and tasty. Makes 8.

Tip: easy to convert to a gluten free granola bar - just use gluten free granola!


Ingredients

170g low sugar granola 

28g date syrup

2 capfuls almond essence

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp tip of salt, if the granola has none


Essential Kit

You will need a silicone baking case 


Method

1. Measure the granola in a bowl, then mix in the dry ingredients and essence. Add the date syrup and fold in for a couple minutes.

2. Preheat the oven to 160C/ 150C fan/ gas 3.

3. Using a teaspoon, put 25g of mixture into each case cavity and press to make compact.

4. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes.

5. Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the case for 15 minutes.

6. Carefully remove from the case and cool on a wire rack
